I learned to sail when I was 13, at NBYC in a Starling. I love sailing because it makes you feel completely free and able to forget about everything else. The most interesting place I’ve sailed was in Newport, Rhode Island in the USA. I enjoy coaching because its great seeing others learn something new. The funniest moment I’ve had sailing was when I left the ramp without the bung in the back of the boat – and when I realised I had to hurry back to the ramp to drain and put it in before it filled up with water!
