Northcote & Birkenhead Yacht Club is a family-friendly dinghy sailing club on Birkenhead Point. Learn to Sail, fleet racing and clubrooms on the water’s edge.
The Birkenhead boat ramp is closed for upgrades until November. As a result, our summer season will run continuously from November until winter sailing begins in April 2027, with a mid-season break over Christmas and January.

Learn to sail
Start sailing with Yachting New Zealand qualified coaching in club yachts. Level 1 is for complete beginners and Level 2 is the next step. Adults and children welcome.

Junior racing and inter-club regattas for children who have finished Learn to Sail.
