Congratulations to Riley on being the inaugural winner of the Sydney Kingi Memorial Cup. This cup is in memory of Sydney Kingi, our then Rear Commodore, who sadly passed away in 2022. The Cup is awarded annually to the junior club member who best embodies the spirit of NBYC.

Riley continues to make outstanding contributions to NBYC. As well as being an excellent sailor, who has risen through the Learn to Sail levels and into the racing squad, Riley is now a buddy coach. He is always on hand to help with whatever is required, including helping coaching the junior learn to sail classes, running races for the Level 3 fleet, helping with boat launching and retrieval and looking after facilities. He’s also a dab hand with technology – looking after the club’s Facebook page and helping develop our digital tools.

Well done Riley – you’re a real asset to the club!
