Youth (420) Sailing Programme:
NBYC is currently working with north Shore City Council and three local high Schools, to develop a Youth Sailing Programme.

Students will have the opportunity to Learn to Sail and Race, followed by advanced sail training, allowing for formation of High School 420 Teams Racing Crews from each school.

These crews will compete in local, regional & hopefully national regattas.
Sponsorship Opportunity:
We urgently need sponsors for the programme, to help students who might otherwise not have the opportunity to experience the benefits which sailing can add to their education.
Please contact, Graham Thow, NBYC Commodore, for information.

Club Champs:
NBYC Club champs are sailed each year with club members competing in multiple races, sailing both Optimist, and X3’s as individuals.
Sailors then form crews to sail a series of races in 420’s where each crew member both helms and crews in match races. Points are awarded for each race.

We take safety very seriously to minimise the risk to sailors, volunteers and club officials, because we all participate in a sport where dangers are present at all times.
Club members are advised of the risks and have a responsibility to assist with the management of those risks. Hopefully then everyone returns to shore smiling.

Our Risk Assessment Policies are displayed at the club and a copy is available on request.
